Poem for Mar 28

Japa Poem

In verse six of “Manah-siksa,” Raghunatha dasa Gosvami implores his mind to give up hypocrisy and take to the loving service of Radha and Krishna. The mind is on a suicidal course, about to plunge both himself and the tiny spirit soul into burning flames. Raghunatha dasa Gosvami says, “Stop this suicidal course! Dive into the immortal ocean of sublime ambrosia that awaits you in loving devotional service to Radha and Krishna.”

So the mind must go from a low mentality into the rasa mentality. That is what I have been discussing here, and wondering how this can apply to someone as unqualified as I am.

JAPA POEM

Raghunatha dasa Gosvami says the mind is on a
suicidal course
about to plunge himself
and the tiny spirit
soul into burning flames –
and one should change course and plunge
oneself into the
nectar that is devotional service
to Radha and Krishna. The mind
must go from low
mentality into the rasa
mentality. “That is what
I have been discussing here
and wondering how it
can apply to one as
unqualified as I am.”
