Radha-Govinda reciprocate with me.
Radha-Govinda, I have got my japa in
at the best time of day.
I rise at 1:00 A.M. and begin.
A devotee wrote me and
asked if I was trying to reduce
my sleeping. I told him
that was not my motive.
I am looking for the most
auspicious time to chant.
The best time is brahma-muhurta—
one and a half hours before sunrise.
But the favorable
muhurtas for bhajana
begin at midnight. Prabhupada
would rise by 1:00 A.M. and work
on his translations and purports.
I find these hours favorable.
They are the most quiet and peaceful,
and give my japa a boost.
I am grateful to chant and
reside with Radha-Govinda
at Viraha Bhavan.
