Poem for May 03

Japa Poem

“. . . those who are interested in advancing in spiritual life must be silent. Silence means talking only of Krishna-katha. . . . We should also take this opportunity in life to become as good as a great saint simply by not talking unnecessarily with unwanted persons. We should either talk of Krishna or chant Hare Krishna undeviatingly. This is called muni-vratah.” (_SB_ 4.24.71)

JAPA POEM

I quote about the process of mauna.
It doesn’t mean to be
completely silent. You
can become “as good
as a great saint” if
you exclusively
talk about Krishna
or chant the Hare Krishna mantra.
