Poem for May 06

Radha-Govinda

Radha-Govinda reciprocate with me.
Radha-Govinda, I like to hear Baladeva
singing “Radha-Govinda” while he wakes
You up early in the morning. Then
we chant the Hare Krishna mantra
and take Your darsana, gazing at
Your beautiful forms decorated with flowers.
I don’t gaze at You continually for
fear it will cause head pressure, but
I glance at You occasionally. And
later in the day when I feel less fragile
I look at You more frequently, with
consciousness fully fixed on Your forms.
I am Your eternal servant through
the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and
Lord Caitanya. I approach You
through them, not directly;
there is no other way. By this method,
guided by guru and Gauranga, I take
Your darsana and serve You
three full meals a day. By the
mercy of the higher authorities
I have become intimate with You.
I am grateful that You reside
with me at Viraha Bhavan.
