Poem for May 19

Radha-Govinda

Radha-Govinda reciprocate with me.
Radha-Govinda, I did not look at You
for long during the japa session this morning.
But I honor and cherish
Your presence on the altar.
I like to hear Baladeva sing “Jaya Radha-Govinda”
as he wakes You up. I am glad
when I glance at You more
often later in the day.
I just received six new
excellent outfits for
You from Vrindavana
(bought by Sastra),
and I am eager to
see You wearing them.
You deserve the best,
and these outfits are made
by Tapan, the premier
mukut wala in Vraja.
When You are dressed
beautifully, I am happy
to see You attracted to one
another. I am pleased
with our standard of
offering You three full meals a day.
May You be satisfied
with our humble attempts.
I am grateful You reside
with us in Viraha Bhavan.
