Poem for Jun 05

Personal Stanza

I have increased my commitment to
dictating the manuscript
Resting in Mendocino.
I now work at it with Baladeva
from 4:30 to 6:30,
an increase of one hour.
That book was written during a period
when my caretakers ordered me to rest
and not to write. But I couldn’t resist
writing, even though I risked
the likelihood of incurring migraines.
Sacinandana Swami in his letter
of approval of the book, said it was, “Glorious.”
I endured, and kept up the writing
during a difficult time.
I am glad now that I did,
and it is part of my legacy.
We now have typists and others who are willing
to work on my books.
It is not just a dream.
I am still publishing in my old age.
I have also given a final review
and approval to a catalogue of my paintings,
which Isvara Govinda is assembling
for sdglegacy.com. It will contain 900
pictures, and they will be available
for readers to purchase.
Isvara Govinda is doing
a wonderful service.
