Jayadvaita Swami left yesterday
after a four-day visit.
As he left, I held his hands
and thanked him for allowing me
to tell him _Krishna Book_ stories
and stories from the _Caitanya-caritamrta_.
And for him telling me stories
from the same sources.
It was an excellent, fun way to
spend our time together.
Jayadvaita Maharaj eats only wet khichri.
He has it in the morning and at lunchtime.
He impressed us with his khichri diet,
and we took it up along with him.
I had him put the special ingredients
he adds to his khichri into mine.
This includes ginger strips, black pepper,
salt, cumin, ghee and a few other spices.
I think we will be having khichri frequently
under his influence.
Ananda Kishor and Linda took Jayadvaita
Maharaj to the train station. From there
they went to a nearby daycare center
and dropped off their son Filippo. The
woman there was nice, but it was untidy.
There were unclean rugs on the floor
and a cat was present. They said they
would have to scrub Filippo down when
he came home each day from the
daycare center. He speaks a little English,
so he can get along.
Kaliya Damana returned to our asrama
after spending several days singing kirtan
at the local yoga center. He said
his kirtan was well received, and he was
very enlivened by his participation.
We are glad to have him back.
