Poem for Jun 26

Radha-Govinda

Radha-Govinda, You are wearing new clothes
from Tapan in Vrindavana, donated
by Sastra. Rama Raya cleaned and
dressed You expertly yesterday. You
are in yellow summer outfits with
light greenery and a few red
lotuses. You wear cloth crowns
Vrajavasi style. Govinda’s
has two candrikas pointed
like horns. Radharani’s crown
has one candrika pointing at
Govinda. Govinda’s lotus feet
are exposed, and He holds a
long, slim flute in His two hands.
Radharani’s hands are offering
sacred objects to Govinda.
The day of changing the dress
is a festival.
