Poem for Jun 27

Personal Stanza

Yesterday was the first day that
seven-year-old Filippo from Italy
attended the local Waldorf school
for their summer camp.
He loved it, and the teachers
appreciated him. His parents were very satisfied.
When they went to pick him up, they
found him in a tree. He was absorbed
in play and was not anxious to see his mother.
The teachers at the school are
very friendly, and everyone is pleased
by the arrangement.

Baladeva took the old car
that Dhanurdhara Swami donated to us
and put it into an auto repair shop.
They are going to spend a week working on it,
doing all the things that should have been done
years ago to give it new life and longevity
before we take it and use it.
It looks as if it will be a great relief
to our transportation system, so
we won’t have everyone dependent on
using my car for their personal use.

Kaliya Damana left yesterday afternoon to go
to Woodstock, where he is going to perform
for the yogis with his troupe, which consists of
him playing harmonium and singing, a
female jazz singer, a viola player, and a dancer.
He will be gone two days. He is a very enthusiastic
troubadour, bringing Hare Krishna to
the mixed consciousness of the yoga school.
