This morning, July 1, is the dawning
of the day of the mid-year festival.
It’s not business-as-usual.
There is excitement in the air as
devotees are starting to trickle in
to do set-up services at the VFW Hall.
Baladeva from Trinidad and
Ananda Kishore from Italy
worked all day at cleaning and
preparing. Then later, Haryasva
and Vishnu Aradhana pitched in
and helped prepare. Aditi dasi,
Sudevi and Bhaktin Kate arrived
and are decorating the
Deities and the Hall.
Kaliya Damana thanked me for
gathering the “family” together.
Yesterday afternoon I had a
very unusual darsana of
Radha-Govinda and Lord Caitanya.
I saw deeply into Their reality
and was very satisfied
to receive the mercy of
Their beautiful countenances.
My eyes were at ease,
and it was like a culmination
of my years of devotional service.
I felt somewhat surrendered
to leaving my body in this material world
and felt transcendental reciprocation
with the arca-vigraha.
