Poem for Mar 30

Radha-Govinda

Radha-Govinda reciprocate with me.
Radha-Govinda, I cannot endure staring
at You constantly for two and a half hours
of darsana during my japa session.
But I no longer chant the whole
time with my eyes closed. I
have been getting relief from
headaches, so I keep my
eyes open. I don’t gaze
at You for long periods
of time. But I cast
furtive glances in Your direction
and those short periods
are very satisfying.
Nor do I chant vocally for
prolonged periods of time
for fear the pain may return.
But You are irresistible, and
I find myself glancing Your way
throughout the day
in periods of darsana.
I am grateful You
reside with me in Viraha Bhavan.
