Yesterday the three Italian devotees,
Ananda Kishor, Linda, and their seven-year-old son Filippo,
drove down with Kaliya to participate
in the New York City Rathayatra.
It was the first time ever that the Italians visited
New York City and they were very excited to go on
the occasion of the Festival of the 3 Deities on the 3 carts.
It was a high moment in Prabhupada’s career
when he sat on the Ratha cart and rode down Fifth Avenue
surrounded by hundreds of devotees.
Mukta Vandya visited Viraha Bhavan and stayed back
to cook his famous “peanut butter” khichri.
His cooking of this preparation is expert.
He read out loud from the Srimad-Bhagavatam about
Krishna dancing on the hoods of the poisonous serpent Kaliya.
It was enlivening to hear.
The devotees came back from New York City at 10:00 P.M.
Today we will hear their impressions. I am sure they
were overwhelmed and loved it.
