Baladeva returned
from the hospital yesterday afternoon.
Neither of us can precisely conclude
how long he was in there. He says
twenty-four hours, but to me
it seemed like four days.
He entered the Emergency Room
with a headache, nausea,
and heart palpitations.
He underwent exhaustive tests
on his heart. The doctor
said he had some heart “issues,”
but they were not related to
the heart itself.
Baladeva told them that he
doesn’t get more than three hours
of unbroken sleep at a time. This
startled the doctor who said,
“That isn’t good.” So we have
changed Baladeva’s schedule
to give him more sleep.
It is a relief to have him back in
Viraha Bhavan, having passed
the tests for heart health.
Today is Friday, the day before
the mid-year disciples’ meeting.
Some devotees are arriving
in the afternoon and they
will be working at setting up
the VFW hall. Baladeva from Trinidad
has assured me that we will get
good attendance. We are holding
it outside, under the picnic roof, and
we hope that we won’t have heavy rains.
