Poem for Jul 07

Personal Stanza

Ananda Kishore from Italy went on
a conference call with his partner
and arranged a Bhagavad-gita course.
Sixty people will take part and they
will pay $10 a session for five sessions.
He is ambitious and expert at
teaching Bhagavad-gita.

Yesterday we got back the old car that
Dhanurdhara Swami donated to us.
We invested $1,000 in repairing it.
Now we have a second car, and
my car, which is also old, will not
have to be used by all the devotees
for their various errands,
but can be kept for my use.

Rasesvari, from Houston, went
to a local gym for exercise.
Baladeva Vidyabhusana took her
when he picked up the car. He
asked permission to chant japa
in the parking lot of the gym. The
gym director said, “No. You can
chant in a yoga room in our gym.
You look just like the Buddha.”
And so he had privacy to chant.

Yesterday our whole group
went again for an ice cream treat.
It was very warm and my
chocolate ice cream melted
quickly on my apron. Today
I am going to order iced yoghurt,
which is lighter on the stomach.
I will take it in a cup so that
it will not melt in a sloppy way.
We offer the ice cream to Krishna
in our minds before eating it. We
have arranged the outing
as a special treat
during the visit of Rasesvari.
