Poem for Jul 07

Radha-Govinda

Radha-Govinda reciprocate with me.
Radha-Govinda, someone gave me calves
to place on Your altar.
But I think they are
rasabasa to Your conjugal relationship.
I will remove them
and place them on either side
of Lord Caitanya’s beadbag.
Caitanya-caritamrta mentions
many times that Caitanya Mahaprabhu
said He was a cowherd boy
in His previous life.
But that seems
to be in His pastimes
with the gopas, not with
solitary rendezvous with
Radharani in the caves of Govardhana.
All glories to Krishna
and the cows and calves.
But all glories
to Radha and Krishna meeting
in rendezvous
in the kunjas of Vrindavana.
I am grateful that Radha-Govinda
reside with me in Viraha Bhavan.
