Dear Lord, I have the morning free
to write, but words don’t come easily.
It’s responsible work to speak to You.
I know You are as much a person
as I am, so You can understand if
I talk to You in writing. I know
You won’t be offended if I try.
Dear Lord, You give us the intelligence
to approach You. You take pleasure and
interest when a soul comes to You.
I want to say more. I want to make
inroads in my understanding.
I want to approach You so I can
worship You. I want to always
think of You and never forget You.
I never want to lose my connection
with You, no matter what condition
of life I am in. You are my all in all.
