Poem for Jun 08

Radha-Govinda

Radha-Govinda reciprocate with me.
Radha-Govinda, my visitors looked
at You from an angle; they could not
really see You. Only I can
see You directly, from
my chair four feet away.
Even I cannot see You.
My eyes lack the ointment of love.
But I look at You as
best as I can
in my periodic darsanas.
I like to see Govinda holding
His flute and Radharani
offering sacred objects
to Her Lord. You are
my ishta-devas,
my favorite forms.
I pray that as I
gaze upon You, You will
let me see You as You are.
I am grateful Radha-Govinda
reside with me at Viraha Bhavan.
