Poem for Jul 23

Radha-Govinda

Radha-Govinda reciprocate with me.
Radha-Govinda, You are small,
yet You fit perfectly on the altar.
The carnations in the vases and the vines
hanging down are just suitable for You.
I once told Prabhupada we had
“small” Jagannaths in our Boston Temple
and he corrected me:
“Jagannath is neither small nor large.
He is Jagannath.”
Our Radha-Govinda in Viraha Bhavan
are just as majestic as the
white and black marble deities
of Radha-Govinda in the Brooklyn Temple.
They should not be moved
out of Their present location. Similarly,
Radha-Govinda are here to stay
in Stuyvesant Falls. I am grateful
They reside with us at Viraha Bhavan.
